KAT was indomitable vs Brooklyn.

If New York is Knicks’ City — then this game against Brooklyn was BLOWOUT CITY — a 134-98 pasting of the Nets at Madison Square Garden on an early Sunday evening (game time start 6pm).

NY passed the ball crisply on offense and hit their 3, scored inside as well, and dominated on Defense causing turnovers and open court breaks. The Knicks led by 18 after 1 quarter, by 15 at the half, by 33 points after 3, and by 30+ points throughout the 4th.

The Knick 3rd team played a majority of the 4th quarter.

Karl-Anthony Towns could not be stopped by the Nets inside — he had 28 pts on 10-17 shooting (0-2 from 3) and 12 rebounds in only 28 minutes.

Mitchell Robinson was a BEAST all over the court — 8 pts on 4-4 shooting, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, and a +40 in 18 minutes.

All of the starters played under 30 minutes, yet Jalen Brunson had 19 pts and a +36; OG Anunoby had 19 pts and a +32. Mikal Bridges added 16 pts on 6-8 shooting, Josh Hart had 11 pts on 5-7 shooting, and Jordan Clarkson had 11 pts on 5-8 shooting. NY was 17-37 from 3.

“He played 16.5 minutes and he was a +40,” said coach Mike Brown afterwards about Mitchell Robinson. “I’m not a huge believer in (plus/minus), but to see a number like that in the short amount of time that he played is just amazing.”

NY is now 6-3; Brooklyn falls to 1-9.
